Christmas 2015 - Max's first Christmas

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Kelsey family!

We had a fun filled December.  We started our journey of Christmas in Salem with Drew's parents, John and Sally. Max, Drew, and I were spoiled and we cant thank Grandma and Grandpa enough! We had a nice visit and dinner with them.  They even gave Drew and I the night off :) That was a great Christmas present itself!

\

Our next trip was to Maine where we spent 2 days to see my family.  We spent Christmas Eve opening gifts and having a great dinner.  Again, Max must have been a good boy because holy cow, did he get some good stuff.

He loves his exicauser. He has a love/hate relationship with a few of the toys as he tries to snack on them!

The next day, we got to celebrate Max's first visit from Santa.  He must have been on the nice list this year becauseSanta brought him some really fun things he can play with for years to come.

Hopefully, Grandma Sally can teach me a few things on this piano.

I think the firetruck was a toy for Grampa Larsen.

Our next trip was to Upstate New York to see our good friends Krista and Erich.  Krista is my best friend from college, was my maid of honor, and overall an amazing "auntie" who loves and spoils all of us!

We took Max on his first bowling trip!

Max and Erich playing and reading.

Love the selfie!

During the trip to New York, I took Max to meet with the family I used to babysit while I was in college.  It is crazy to think that I have known them for 9 years.  I love that we can stay in touch and watch each of our families grow.

Our last stop of our New York trip was for Maxwell to to meet his Great Grandmother Kelsey. We went to Kendal to see Grandmother's new home and enjoy some of her delicious cookies.

Last but certainly not least, Max, Drew and Grandmother reading.  This was the highlight of our holiday season!  (can you tell I learned a new trick, I can add videos here!)

We hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and have a healthy 2016!  Cheers to a wonderful new year!

Lots of Love,
Lindsey, Drew, Max and Dillon

Thanksgiving and Early December 2015

I am so sorry it has been a long time since I posted.  After Thanksgiving time flew by extremely fast!  I can not believe the holidays came and went!

Thanksgiving was a lot of fun.  We spent the day in Salem,  with John and Sally.  Max met some more of Drew's family - Rob and Lynne.  Rob and Lynne came down from Maine for a wonderful dinner cooked by Sally.  We enjoyed a some delicious hors-d'oeuvres, a nice walk and catching up before dinner.

Soon after Thanksgiving, my cheerleading program started and life got very crazy!  Thankfully, Max, Drew and I have great family and a wonderful village who have been more than supportive to all of us.

Sally and John came down for a few days while I was in Philadelphia.  They treated Drew and Max to extra hands!  Below is a picture of Max trying bananas for the first time.  He loves them!

Max turned 4 months old.  We are having fun  watching him learn and explore more every day.  He is now squirming and rolling everywhere.  We can no longer leave him alone anywhere except his crib.

On a whim, Max and I went to visit Santa.  Max did great, he didn't love him nor did he cry. He did look very cute though

I will be posting more from the holidays and our travels soon.

Lots of Love,
Lindsey, Drew, Max and Dillon

Going Back to Work

Work...

I went back to work November 2nd.  It was not as hard as everyone was telling me, but not as easy as I thought.  We are all doing a great job getting used to the new schedule.   Max gets to spend 2 days a week with my parents, 2 days a week with a wonderful babysitter/nanny, and my job allows me to work remotely 1 day a week.

Hanging with Grampa Craig while mom's at work
In the meantime Max is doing very well, he likes his play mat and to kick the toys hanging from the top.  He likes tummy time and reaching for his rattles, anything that is soft and noisy.

Right before I went back to work, it was Halloween.  My mom helped make a cute "Max" costume - he was "King Max" from Where the Wild Things Are.

October 2015 Fun

October has been a wonderful month! Max got to meet many great people in his life!

The month started out with a baby shower for my friend Emilie.  Emilie is due to have a baby girl in December.  Max got to meet Emilie and Marielle some great friends of mine from high school!   I am so excited to meet her Em!

Soon after that Great Grandmother and Svend come for a 10 day visit from Memphis, TN.  Drew and I were able to show them our new house and what we have been able to do for Max!  We spent a lovely afternoon in Boston for lunch and a walk by the harbor.  The last weekend they were here, we spend 2 1/2 days in the North Shore visiting the lovely Inn at Castle Hill.  While 10 may not seem like a lot, it was a very special time I will hold dear in my heart.

It is moments, weekends and months like October that I am reminded how important it is share family with Max.  Drew and I are beyond thrilled for Max to have so many who will teach him the lessons we cannot, be there for him when he needs to get away from Mom and Dad, and love him fiercely  Family and friends alike we love you and hope you know how important you are to us!

Oh yeah!! In the midst of all the fun, our fur baby turned 3!  Happy Birthday to our spoiled and oh so loved pup Dillon!   (Side Note - Dillon thinks he and Max are super heros - "Mad Max" and "Daring Dillon", I cannot wait to see what trouble those 2 get up too!)
